Michael J. Skelton joined the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce in June of 2014 as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization. Mike is responsible for overall management of the organization and oversees the development and implementation of the Chamber’s strategic plan, programs, and budgets. Mike serves as GMCC’s key spokesperson and as an advocate for the Greater Manchester business community.
Mike brings significant experience in public relations, media relations, and government affairs to his position. He most recently served as media spokesperson for Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH), the State’s largest electric utility, where he was responsible for representing the company in front of local, state, and national media. Prior to joining PSNH, Mike served as Vice President of Economic Development and Advocacy for the GMCC. During his tenure, Mike managed and directed the Chamber’s economic development and advocacy efforts by representing the organization to local, state, and federal policymakers.
Mike is past co-chair of the Board of Directors of Stay Work Play and was named to the 2014 class of New Hampshire’s “40 Under Forty” young leaders by the Union Leader. Mike is a graduate of Saint Anselm College and resides in Bedford with his wife, Emily, and their son, Colin.
