Hi everyone my name is Emily Masse and I am the new social media and event planning intern at Stay Work Play NH. I am currently a sophomore at the University of New Hampshire majoring in communication with a focus in business. I grew up in Loudon, NH, and graduated from Merrimack Valley High School in 2015. I have one younger sister who is going to Colby Sawyer College in New London in the fall to study nursing.
I have lived in New Hampshire my whole life and I cannot think of a better state to live and attend college in! My favorite places to go in New Hampshire are Lake Winnipesauke, the Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch, Mount Kearsarge, and of course, my home at UNH. Outside of school and interning at Stay Work Play I work at Brookside Pizza in Loudon, so you can catch me making calzones during NASCAR race week in July.
At UNH, I am a member of the editorial staff for the communication department’s student research journal. I write posts for the UNH chapter of the national blog site HerCampus. I enjoy reading and going to the gym when I am not studying for classes, as well as binge watching Netflix shows and documentaries. I am a big hockey fan and like to attend UNH home games. I am also planning on going abroad in the spring of 2018 for a semester in Australia to study marketing and business.
I am very excited for this internship and the opportunities for new professional experiences to learn and grow from. At Stay Work Play, I will assist in their social media strategies and promote upcoming events. I hope to use my organization and communication skills to make these things possible, as well as my love for New Hampshire. I hope to take what I have learned to a future career in business communication and marketing.
Thank you for reading and hope this blog post has allowed you to get to know me a little better! I am very lucky to be chosen as an intern for Stay Work Play and I hope I can make positive contributions to this organization.
