Internship Description

What we are looking for:
We are hard working non-profit working to advance well-crafted prevention messaging in New Hampshire. We are seeking a talented and awesome communications/marketing intern to support the Partnership for Drug-Free NH’s (PDFNH’s) mission and vision. The intern will work alongside and receive mentorship by the PDFNH staff to conduct tasks related to day to day operations, public health campaign messaging, marketing, and public relations.

Ideal candidates should have:
-Organized, driven, and passionate aspiring Marketing professional who is efficient and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment
-Either currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor degree program or a recent college graduate. Marketing, Communications, Business and Graphic Design majors desired but not required.
-Strong familiarity with Social Media and its applications for a non-profit; you must be familiar with the platforms of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
-Understanding of / interest in media (print, events, and digital advertising) and social media trends
-Comfortable and confident using Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
-Comfortable and confident using Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Groups
-Able to curate, proofread & edit content on your own

It’s even better if you have experience with:
-Skills in photography and copywriting a plus
-Proficient with Adobe Indesign/Illustrator, WordPress, MailChimp & Constant Contact
HTML & CSS development
-Previous experience in a marketing role
-Familiarity with Google Applications

Other important skills to have:
-Great communication skills
-Must effectively & frequently report back to managers
-Able to effectively convey information, present ideas and ask questions
-Must be able to manage time well and hold yourself accountable when necessary
-Take initiatives and brainstorm new ideas
-High energy and ability to learn quickly
-Ability to work independently/Carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
-Positive and open-minded attitude

Not too sure about your proficiency in one or two of the above areas? As long as you have the basic know-how, a team-player attitude, and a willingness to learn, we’re willing to teach the right candidate all they need to know.

This is a part-time position based in Concord, NH. Hours can be structured around applicant’s class/work schedule. A performance-based stipend may be available upon completion.
