Internship Description

Medical Assistants (MAs) perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks as an integral part of the clinical care team. MAs interact directly with patients under the supervision of a provider and/or nurse manager.

The MA training program is 11 weeks. You will be hired into a Trainee role by D-H, earn a training wage, and have the ability to earn college credits. The course material is taught using a combination of classroom instruction, skills labs and clinical shadowing. At the conclusion of the classroom training, you will sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Exam.

As a successful graduate you will be promoted to an MA role in our clinics and enrolled in a 2,000 hour Registered Apprenticeship with the U.S. Department of Labor.
