OtherHuman Resources Intern
The Human Resources Intern will directly assist the Human Resources Manager with a wide range of projects related to HR-compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation and employee benefits. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, you will learn how to use your skills in a professional setting and gain a better understanding of the role Human Resources plays in a business environment.
The Human Resources Intern will learn the practical application of:
•Steps involved in the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews
•The importance of employment laws and compliance, especially regarding employment eligibility, confidentiality, proper maintenance of employee files, and forms management
•The interrelationship of HR and Finance in the areas of new employee paperwork, payroll issues related to onboarding, and termination
•Employee benefits management issues related to improper paperwork or missing benefit information
•Ability to handle sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion, and maintain confidentiality
•Produce accurate and error-free work
•Strong attention to detail
•Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
•Ideal candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED and be pursuing a degree or certificate in business, or concentration relevant to Human Resources.
