ApprenticeshipSurgical Technologist Training Program
Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are experts in hundreds of instruments, devices, tools, procedures and pathologies. CSTs are responsible for protecting the sterile field in the operating room, assisting surgeons and the clinical team in the care of a patient during surgery, troubleshooting equipment, and anticipating needs during a procedure.
The D-H Surgical Technology Training Program is a full-time, 11 month program that consists of didactic, lab and extensive clinical rotations. At the end of the program you will be eligible to sit for the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) exam, and become a member of the Association of Surgical Technologists. This program includes an opportunity to earn college credit and is in the process of becoming an Associate’s Degree. Employees of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health system can apply for sponsorship, which includes a training wage and waived tuition fees. If you are interested in sponsorship but are not currently an employee, ask us about employment opportunities that could lead to this program.
