Episodes will be based on state park experiences featuring the intern (including friends/family when possible). As video series host, interns will narrate and guide the viewer through the day’s adventure. Interns will help plan adventures and coordinate the parks, activities and dialog each video might include. Filming will take place at least twice a month from June to September. Interns will be active participants in the promotion of published episodes on social media. An optional blog post may accompany each video if desired (blog.nhstateparks.org).
Parks and Recreation marketing staff will handle all videography work except when first person camera angles are needed (go-pro action cam or overnight camping – in which case a camera will be provided). Each episode will also be edited by division marketing staff and then reviewed with the intern prior publishing online.
The intern will report to the Digital Marketing Manager of NH Division of Parks and Recreation to plan, produce and promote video productions for the division’s social media channels. Their responsibilities will include serving as on-camera talent for each video production. The intern is expected to meet a staff videographer at a state park property two days per month from June to September in order to film episodes. Interns will create dialog and engage in recreational activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming and camping for each video production. After filming, the intern will review edited videos and help promote videos on social media.
