Granite State Young Professionals Set to Gather for 8th Annual Rising Stars Awards

Event marks the first for the new Executive Director of Stay Work Play New Hampshire

Stay Work Play New Hampshire, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging 20- and 30-year-olds to stay, work and play in the Granite State, will host the 2017 Rising Stars Awards on Monday, October 2 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. New Hampshire’s largest young professional networking event, in partnership with New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR), will take place at Fieldhouse Sports, 12 Tallwood Drive in Bow.

“The Rising Stars Awards are incredible opportunity to recognize the amazing things young professionals are doing at work, school and in their communities,” said Stay Work Play New Hampshire Executive Director Will Stewart. “We will also be honoring the efforts of local companies and organizations that are taking up the mission of attracting, hiring and retaining young professionals in the Granite State.”

The Rising Stars Awards will also mark the first event for the new Executive Director of Stay Work Play New Hampshire, Will Stewart; Stewart joined the organization last month.

Winners will be announced for New Hampshire’s best and brightest in seven award categories: ‘Shire Story Video of the Year, Civic Leader of the Year, College Student of the Year, Coolest Companies for Young Professionals, Leadership Development Program of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Young Professional of the Year. The event will also include live audience voting for the “People’s Choice” award in the Coolest Company for Young Professionals category.

Before recognizing the Rising Stars Award winners, hundreds of attendees will be able to meet representatives from several of the state’s young professional organizations and enjoy the live musical stylings of Dan Walker.
