At Stay Work Play’s behest, in 2018 Governor Chris Sununu declared June 3 as 603 Day. Ever since it has become a tradition of Stay Work Play to celebrate all things New Hampshire on June 3 and to encourage Granite Staters to show their 603 pride.
Celebrating in 2024
Join us on Monday, June 3 (5-7 p.m.) at the Lake Massabesic Trail in Auburn for a 3.7 mile, dog-friendly stroll. This loop takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete and is accessible to all hiking levels. We will meet in the trailhead parking lot at 5 p.m. and begin our walk at 5:30 p.m. And it’s FREE!
Celebrating in 2023
It was pretty foggy, but that didn’t stop us from celebrating 603 Day in a very NH kind of way - with a hike! In this case, it was a dog-friendly hike up Mt. Kearsarge.

Sponsored by 603 Birch Realty, 2022’s 603 Day celebration featured great local beer and seltzer, snacks, socializing, and a whole lot of fun as we kicked off summer in style.

In partnership with NH Rocks and sponsored by Dolph Hoyt Presents, we hosted a virtual game night - celebrating 603 Day with New Hampshire-themed trivia! Members of the various YP networks, businesses, and individuals throughout the Granite State got together to compete.

We wanted to see how much our followers loved the Granite State...we asked them to show us their New Hampshire themed tattoos! The winners were determined by our Instagram followers "liking" their favorite tattoo. The tattoos are shown in the order the were voted on by the fans.

On June 3, 2018, volunteers greeted visitors at the I-93 Southboud Hooskett Welcome Center with a bag filled with goodies from NH businesses and details regarding the “Granite Ticket Getaway” - a Lakes Region experiential prize package. Visitors became familiar with incredible NH businesses and the resources that Stay Work Play has to offer. The event featured live musical entertainment from New Hampshire artists such as Jake Bartolin, Derek Russell Fimbel, and Kristen Parker; food and beverage sampling from the Common Man Roadside, Blackwater Mustard, HomeFree, and Nuttin Ordinary; a selfie station…and more!NH residents have an understanding of what a wonderful place the Granite State is. This event allowed us to share our pride with visitors - giving a snapshot of the educational, cultural and growing business opportunities that New Hampshire has to offer.
