Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m the owner and operator of Boards and Brews. New Hampshire’s only board game cafe.
Why did you choose to stay in New Hampshire?
I always wanted to highlight NH as a great place to live while building a stronger, more connected community.
Why did you choose to live in your current city/town?
Born and raised in Manchester, I have traveled to different parts of the world and I’m always glad to be reminded of the quality of life Manchester offers.
What would you say to someone that is considering moving to New Hampshire?
Move as close to Elm Street as possible, more people downtown the better. I give the 45 minutes from the beach and Boston speech a lot, while adding in just an hour and a half from the White Mountains.
Tell us some of your favorite places in the state or your region. i.e, restaurants, recreational or cultural activities, etc.
If money were not an issue, what would your version of a “perfect” day in the state look like?
At 9am, Hot Pastrami at Bagel Cafe then take the Porsche up 93 to Revelstoke Coffee for coffee, continue to Lake ‘Winni’ (Winnipesaukee) and cruise on a boat, maybe some jet ski action. At this point lunch is airlifted in, The Gyro Spot. Back on the road, up to Mount Washington where we take The Mount Washington Cog Railway up, hopefully nap; ride mountain bikes down. Helicopter shoots us over to Rye Beach to catch the 5 o’clock swells for some surfing. Then take a boat out to Star Island which is part of the Isles of Shoals and dinner at the Oceanic Hotel. Naturally, celebrities, professors and community leaders would join us along the way.
What do you believe to be the “New Hampshire” advantage?
The NH advantage is you don’t need to be an over achiever or be super well connected to make a difference. Communities in this state have been voted as top places to live in this country numerous times.
Is there someone in the state that you would like to have coffee with? And why?
I would have to have coffee with John Clayton, his knowledge of Manchester is astounding.
Anything else that we may have missed that you would like to include?
Play more board games.
