Karlene Murphy grew up by the lake in Auburn, NH attended college in Keene, lived briefly in a Manchester apartment followed by a few years by the Seacoast in Portsmouth before she settled into her beautiful rustic home in Sandown, NH.
Karlene plans to stay in New Hampshire because of the beauty of each season “from beaches and camping in the summer, to leaf peeping hikes in the fall, snowshoeing and skiing in the winter, along with the long bike rides in the spring. What’s not to love about that?”
I couldn’t agree more Karlene!
Teaching Fitness, Yoga and Nutrition and writing an engaging fitness and nutrition blog gives Karlene the greatest satisfaction as she guides others in a positive direction.
Kickstart Nutrition has New Hampshire fitness enthusiasts talking and it doesn’t stop there. Karlene helps people reach their fitness goals as far away as China, using online blogging, guest blogging, social media and downloadable e-books featuring workouts and healthy recipes. Karlene is only one person but with her online platform she can help multiple people simultaneously through inspiration, motivation and information to become healthy and happy.
Most recently Karlene is excited about Aerial Yoga which is a kind of yoga that is naturally low impact and works on cardiovascular conditioning.
This amazing new fitness outlet lets you hold challenging yoga postures longer and helps correct alignment. It adds an entirely new dimension to your Yoga/Fitness practice and takes places in her beautiful home in Sandown, NH.
Karlene works to create the most delicious recipes along with step-by-step workout routines for each client. She has been an aerobics fitness instructor for 10 years, and a black belt distinction in Karate with additional certifications in Personal Training.
Franconia Notch State Park is Karlene’s escape in the summer. “There are so many beautiful things to see and explore, from hiking to kayaking. I also love the ocean and a great beach day!”
You could say that everyday is Play for Karlene, since she lives in her ideal vacation destination, New Hampshire, and her work is her passion and includes her favorite hobbies!
Anything that involves good food, friends and ideally taking her dogs outdoors for some sun mixed in makes for a great day. Whether it’s in the city or the mountains or at the beach, New Hampshire has it all!
On Karlene’s website or Facebook page you will see some great photography, cooking, and outdoor posts and my favorite her recipes. They always have me coming back for more like her Yummy Yogurt Granola Bites – No Bake!
