Snow adventures at Prescott Farm and Great Glen Trails
Despite the recent dose of spring(ish) weather, we have a lot more winter weather coming our way, so why not get out and enjoy the brisk air and sparkling snow! Snowshoeing, sledding and cross country skiing are great ways to experience the beautiful white landscapes that NH offers during the winter, while getting some exercise. So bundle up and check out these events being offered over the next few weekends. Prescott Farms in Laconia offers snowshoe walks and sledding parties, while Great Glen Trails in Gorham has various programs including a family friendly moonlight snowshoe walk! These events may require registration, so check out the upcoming dates and get ready to enjoy the winter wonderland!
Bela Fleck and Brooklyn Rider
Enjoy the unique musical styles of Bela Fleck and Brooklyn Rider on Thursday, January 30th at 7:30 pm. This event, held at The Dana Center at St. Anselm College in Manchester, boasts the banjoist and 15 time Grammy Winner Bela Fleck collaborating with Brooklyn Rider, string musicians with an eclectic style and a quickly growing audience. The quintet is also performing on Friday, January 31st at 8:00 pm at the Colonial Theatre in Keene. Tickets for the Keene performance are $47.50/$43.50/$33.50. Musterfield Farm’s Annual Ice Day
What is better on a winter weekend than pancakes, hot beverages and ice carving? Musterfield Farm in North Sutton is holding their annual Ice Day on January 26th starting at 9 am. Admission is free to the Ice Day. Don’t forget to stop in to fill your bellies beforehand with all you can eat pancakes and other breakfast goodies from 7:00 – 10:00 AM at the First Free Will Baptist Church in North Sutton. Tickets for the pancake breakfast are $6 for adults and $3 for children. Rain Date is February 2nd.
