End of Summer Weekends

I have said it in the past and I will say it again, NH is one of those states where you really can do everything within one weekend. To the ocean one moment, and then to the mountains the next! This past weekend, I had one of those weekends. With it being Labor Day Weekend, I wanted to make sure that I was able to check those last few things off my Summer Check List.

I tried to keep this weekend local. So first stop, the Saturday Farmers’ Market in Concord. This was my first time at the Concord Farmers’ Market and will not be the last. First off, I was very shocked with the size. It was actually a very decent size, so many vendors, and bands! The location was also clutch. You are right downtown on a Saturday morning in Concord. It’s the perfect area to grab a fresh locally brewed coffee, listen to some great music, and support local farms. Does a Saturday need anything else?

Next up, the Hopkinton Fair. Though Labor Weekend also reminds me summer is over, it also reminds me that fall is coming which makes me more excited than I would like to admit. With that being said, its fair season in NH which means every weekend until the end of October, there will be a new fair to experience.

I forgot how long it had been since I went to a fair last (more than 10 years)! Once I got there all the memories came back, I think it was the smells. We saw it all, pigs, cows, cows pulling things, fried everything (Oreos, bubblegum, cheesecake and more!), and a strange zombie thing outside of a haunted house that would puke when you walked by…

It was fun to see everything, but I feel like I didn’t have enough time to see everything. This I blame on the hot weather, but I’m in luck because this is just the first weekend. So many more fairs to come.
