The new City of Manchester Master Plan will soon be voted on by the planning board to be formally adopted and incorporated into the city’s plans and vision for the future. This plan presents a new vision, one that is focused on policies intended to redirect City resources to support new and emerging priorities. Building on past planning efforts, implementation of the new Manchester Master Plan seeks to preserve the character of the city while promoting improvements that enhance the quality of life for residents.
We will be joined by Jodie Nazaka, Senior Planner at the Planning and Community Development Department and Lead Coordinator for the Master Plan. Jodie will give us the inside scoop on the Master Plan and how it sets the groundwork for positive change in our city. Get involved in the future of Manchester and register today!

Manchester is the largest and most dynamic city in Northern New England. It has more than 112,000 residents, about 6,600 commercial establishments, over 300 restaurants (TripAdvisor, 2020), cultural amenities, like museums and sporting events, and easy access to nature. Since Manchester’s last master plan was adopted in 2009, the city has attracted more businesses and people than anywhere else in the region. Now, the citizens of Manchester have once again come together to plan for the city’s future. We hope to build on our past successes and continue to attract a population that is adventurous, driven, and innovative.
Our vision for Manchester is for it to lead Northern New England in innovation and entrepreneurship, while maintaining high standards of amenities, livability, culture, education, and environmental stewardship
