Spring is slowly starting to make an appearance here in New Hampshire, and I am so excited! I look forward to spring because that means that we can get out of our houses more and the Concord Farmers’ Market starts! The farmers’ market will be starting on May 10th and it runs until the end of October. The farmers’ market is located on Capitol Street in downtown Concord and is from 8:30 till 12. I love going and getting fresh fruits, veggies, meat, and of course sweets! The farmers’ market will also be continuing at the Steeplegate Mall on Thursdays from 3 till 7.

If you are not a Saturday morning person or work late you should check out a CSA. The state has many local CSAs to choose from. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. You pay a base price for the season and will receive various fresh fruits and veggies each week. The CSA provider will give you a selection of the fruits and vegetables that are available at that time. It is great for families because you save so much and you are helping to support the local farmers. We are going to use the CSA at Lewis Farm in Concord. They also have a farm stand so if you choose to not belong to the CSA you can stop by and still purchase!
