We’ve all been there. You go into your closet, or open your drawers to get ready for work, a casual Saturday, a night out with friends or a special occasion and it hits you like a ton of bricks. I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR! Technically, you do but that’s beside the point. You don’t want to step foot in the nearest mall. Your new purple sweater from Gap is bound to match someone in the same room as you. If only you could get new, and unique items… AND have them delivered to your doorstep. Now, wouldn’t that be amazeballs?! Well guess what? It exists.
Stitch Fix is my newest obsession. Based out of San Fran, Stitch Fix and their team is a personal styling service. Once you’ve signed up, you go through a series of questions regarding your style & sizing, they then assign a stylist to you (yes, handpicked), and then a package is sent to you with a variety of “goodies” to try on. Check out more FAQ’s here.
I know what you’re thinking… What’s the catch? No catch. At least not thus far in my Stitch Fix journey. Once you get your “fix,” you go try it on, sleep on it if you want and then you decide what you’re going to keep or send back. You can send back all of the items or keep them. It’s up to you. And besides the $20 styling fee, there’s no charge whatsoever. The return is free of charge. I got my first fix yesterday. I loved 4 out of the 5 pieces. I sent them all back because the pricing was too high for my liking. (PS: If you do like all your pieces, and keep them you receive 25% off your order). I went on their site, answered questions about the styles I received & gave feedback. Now, MY stylist (that sounds so cool) will take my feedback and arrange a new fix for me. My next fix will be delivered on Monday. Another bonus is they send you photos on how to style your outfits once you’ve received the pieces. My fix had a couple tops, a beautiful striped dress & a gold ring. If I had a paying job, I would have probably kept it all.
Stitch Fix is probably busting at the seams (pun intended) with participation. It’s a fantastic concept. I can see a variety of people using this service. Especially if you don’t live near a shopping area, is a busy super-mom or looking for something special to spice up your wardrobe. They promise that each “fix” gets better every time. I’m looking forward to my next fix, fo’ sho’.
Pssstt.. If you do want to try it. You should use this code cause then I’ll get credit for it. You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours. Thanks in advance, amigos.
