Now that the weather is finally starting to warm up, it’s time to hit the local ice cream stands! One of my favorites is Sugar & Ice Creamery in Barrington. Ice cream making is an art and it takes the freshest ingredients. This artisanal ice cream is made in small batches by hand with seasonal fruits from local farms. They also have their traditional flavors like Madagascar Vanilla. It’s no surprise that this family owned and operated shop won “Best of NH” and the Golden Scoop Award!
Looking over all of the great flavors it was hard to choose just one; I went for one of my favorites, strawberry! Oh, and they also make their own cones fresh to order. After you get your order you can find plenty of comfortable seats to relax and enjoy your ice cream and beautiful sunshine! Sugar and Ice Creamery ice cream is some of the best around, nice and creamy, great flavor and tons of big chunks of strawberries. You could tell by the smiles on everyone’s face that they were enjoying themselves. The shop is a destination really, everyone getting together to enjoy some great ice cream and spending time talking while the kids have fun in the play area.
The shop was founded in 2007 by Uli Emmerling. Today, she still works passionately developing new flavors using fresh ingredients. The location is in a relaxing farm setting, the shop is a cool looking renovated garrison from the 1700’s. Don’t miss out on some great ice cream and some fun with friends! The shop is located at 146 Calef Hwy (Route 125) in Barrington. Their phone number is: 603-335-1140. Plus, you can visit their Website, Facebook, and Twitter.
