Hello World…

joe-savitchFor those of you geeky enough to have installed word press once or twice, you will recognize the title of this article. For those of you who haven’t… it is a nod to the first post that the platform creates for you as an example of how to use the software. Considering this is my first post as a regular blogger for SWP I thought it an appropriate headline.

The Granite State has been my permanent home for five years now. I was an abutter during my formative years (read lived in MA for way too long) until my passion for the visual arts took me to NYC (read had to get out of dodge). Since my return to New England I have been married, and have two amazing daughters (read my life has been flipped-turned-upside-down).

New Hampshire is an amazing place to settle down and raise a family… I really can’t see why anyone would do it anywhere else (read Yankee snob). New Hampshire has it all, we are less than two hours from the mountains and an hour from the beach… I mean come on where else in the country do you have that (again, read Yankee snob). Sure in other states you have some of those luxuries, (never going to live in MA, ME, RI, CT, CA, WA, or OR) but none of them have the charm that is unmistakably NH!

So, as you can see I have a passion for my adopted state that extends beyond any political ambitions. Being a young family presents a myriad of challenges including balancing work, friends, family, finances, etc. As I continue to provide articles to SWP you will read about those challenges, and how I deal with them. Along with some witty humor, techno-geeky movie reviews (read cannot wait to see the new Transformers movie I LOVE DINOBOTS!) and other things.

Hello, Stay Work Play NH bloggers and readers! Thank you for having me.
