All Things Fall

I’m not afraid to admit that I still wait with Linus every year in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin, and now I’m thinking he probably stops by the Milford Pumpkin Festival.

This is a festival that celebrates more than just the magical pumpkin. It is filled with music, craft fairs, talent shows, scarecrow making and even a haunted trail. And don’t forget all of the great food! Visit their website for a detailed schedule of events for each day and to purchase tickets for select events.

NH Fall Festival and Prescott Park Chili Cook-Off

How about an entire festival just for fall plus the added bonus of a chili cook-off? Yes, please!

Come celebrate at the Strawberry Banke Museum in Portsmouth on Saturday, October 12, for the 6th Annual New Hampshire Fall Festival with demonstrations by craftsmen, animal exhibits, presentations on canning and food preservations, and even coopering. Add to that the amazing aromas and tastes of the Prescott Park Chili Cook-Off, and fall will become your favorite season, too! With more than a dozen Seacoast restaurants participating in his cook-off, you are bound to find something for your tastebuds to shout about. Visit their website for full event details and admission prices.

Charmingfare FarmPumpkin Festival 2013

This signature fall event has pony rides, so it just moved to the top of my list.

From October 12 through October 14, enjoy all that Charmingfare Farm in Candia has to offer at their annual Pumpkin Festival. There will be sack races, pumpkin rolling and whatever fantastic event a pumpkin spoon race is. Visit their website for full details of events and admission prices. But don’t forget the tractor, pony and horse-drawn rides, and be sure to grab a pumpkin from the Farm Market before you go.
