More than any other time of the year, the week of Thanksgiving sees younger New Hampshire natives returning in droves to the Granite State to visit family and friends.
It is for this reason that Stay Work Play, with the support of New Hampshire Realtors and Amoskeag Beverages, has declared the week of November 25, 2019, as Boomerang Week.
The aim of Boomerang Week is to market New Hampshire and all of the opportunities here to potential “Boomerangers” — a term for those young New Hampshire natives who have moved out of state but who might one day “boomerang” back here.
As part of Boomerang Week, Stay Work Play will connect with potential Boomerangers at points of entry into the state including Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, rest areas on I-93, I-95, and I-89, and the state’s bus terminals.
We will also meet these young New Hampshire natives where they will congregate when not spending time with family: in bars and restaurants around the state.
In all of these locales, young people will encounter messaging — via banners and table tents — encouraging them to enter to win an online contest for an all-expenses-paid weekend for two in Portsmouth. In the weeks following Thanksgiving, Stay Work Play will follow up with entrants via an email marketing campaign to showcase the variety of opportunities awaiting them should they choose to return to New Hampshire.
