A new year is upon us and with it, a new legislature.
The November elections brought big changes to the state legislature. Do you know who is now representing you in Concord? Do those legislators know what issues are important to you?
Join Stay Work Play, in partnership with the Upper Valley Young Professionals, for Matters of State, a virtual policy roundtable series that will bring together each region’s legislators and their under-40 constituents to discuss their region’s most pressing issues facing young people and possible solutions.
New Hampshire is well known for its business friendly atmosphere, but what’s it like to start a business here as a young person of color?
In this virtual story telling event, hear from three New Hampshire-based entrepreneurs of color who will share their personal and business experiences – including both their challenges and their successes – here in the Granite State.
A live Q&A will follow each speaker.
About Stay Work Play’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Series:
As an organization committed to attracting and retaining more young people in New Hampshire, Stay Work Play stands in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and is committed to making New Hampshire a more welcoming, inclusive, and just place for people of color. As a part of this effort, Stay Work Play will offer a series of diversity, equity, and inclusion events to foster conversation, enable learning experiences, and push for change.
Thank you to our sponsors!

The Advocacy Committee monitors and studies state legislation that could affect young people staying in, or leaving, New Hampshire. The committee makes recommendations to the Stay Work Play Board of Directors as to pieces of legislation on which the organization should advocate. Once recommendations are adopted, the committee assists in promoting Stay Work Play’s positions.
The Advocacy Committee meets at 8:30am on the second Friday of each month. At this time they are being held virtually, though when they resume in person, they will likely be in Manchester. Advocacy Committee meetings are open to one and all.
**Meetings will be done via Zoom until further notice**
