Location: 4 Park Street, Suite 403 Concord, NH 03301PROJECT DESCRIPTION The New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA) is seeking an intern to assist with policy activities related to food insecurity. The intern will research current programs, policies, issues, literature and science as they pertain to food insecurity and will assist in updating NHPHA’s food insecurity policy. It is expected that the intern will attend meetings of other partners also working to improve food security in the state through policy change. The intern will work with staff and the NHPHA Communications Committee to draft messaging for both social and print media on the topic of food insecurity policy. The intern will produce a final report which may be in the form of a written report and/or scientific poster.WHO SHOULD APPLY? Students with an interest in public health policy, food insecurity, and health equity are encouraged to apply. Interested potential interns should have strong written and oral communication skills and be competent in researching and synthesizing literature to produce brief and persuasive documents and testimony.
