New Hampshire boasts a rich rock climbing heritage, with technical ascents in the White Mountains dating as far back as 1910. The state is known for world class climbing of nearly all disciplines, including traditional climbing in North Conway, sport climbing in Rumney, alpine climbing in Franconia, and bouldering in Pawtuckaway. While not testing themselves on the rock,  New Hampshire climbers enjoy honing their skills at one of the numerous indoor climbing facilities peppered around the state.  

• Evolution Rock + Fitness: Evolution is New Hampshire’s premier indoor climbing facility. With 16,000 square feet of climbing terrain housed in a state of the art green facility, Evolution caters to the entire spectrum of climbers, ranging from beginners to elite athletes. Evolution runs a gamut of programs ranging from birthday parties and groups to camps and teams. Evolution is located in the heart of Concord.

• Vertical Dreams: Vertical Dreams prides itself on providing a fun, safe, ultra friendly place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a day of climbing, while at the same time offering some of the most challenging and exciting new routes around. Vertical Dreams has locations in Manchester and Nashua.

• Rumney Climbers Association: The Rumney Climbers Association is a small non-profit organization that began at time when Rumney needed to secure access to the cliffs in the early 90′s. It was spearheaded by local activists that worked hard to purchase land that was privately owned. The RCA is continuing to work with the USFS, the Access Fund, and the AAC to find a common goal of preserving rock climbing in Rumney, NH.

• Mooney Mountain Guides: Mooney Mountain Guides is a New England based guide service and climbing school operating 365 days a year. Their large groups of experienced climbing instructors specialize in guiding small groups and providing personal instruction.

• EMS Climbing School: Stationed in North Conway, the EMS Climbing school in considered one of the industry standards for quality climbing instruction.

• International Mountain Climbing School: Located in North Conway, IME is among the most highly respected climbing schools in New Hampshire.

• North Country Climbing Center: Focused on more than rock climbing, North Country Climbing Center (N3C) works to create an environment of inclusion and friendship building.  N3C is located in Lisbon.
