Our Board of Advisors represents a dynamic group of organizations committed to driving workforce development, championing young Granite Staters, and who are invested in Stay Work Plays vision for a NH where young people want to—and can—stay, work and play.
We’re thrilled to have a conversation with Paige Moulton, the Marketing Manager at Shaheen & Gordon, P.A.—one of the largest law firms with local roots in New Hampshire and New England offering full-service legal advocacy, and one of the newest members of Stay Work Play’s Board of Advisors!

SWP: Why is supporting young talent and organizations like Stay Work Play important to your company’s mission?
PM: Our firm was founded in New Hampshire in 1981 on the belief that clients come first. We’ve always been dedicated to protecting the rights of Granite Staters. It’s people who help people, so ensuring our state attracts and retains the young talent is essential. We’re dedicated to making a difference for our clients, but we can only do that if our people are happy and working in communities they love. This means offering the culture and benefits that have a positive impact on our employee’s lives and supporting organizations like Stay Work Play that focus on good work within those communities.
SWP: In what ways does your company empower the next generation of leaders in New Hampshire?
PM: Young lawyers are the future of our firm and industry, so we take great pride in nurturing their growth both as legal professionals and community leaders. Our lawyers are encouraged and guided toward joining networking organizations, charitable boards, as well as leadership classes. They are empowered to build their own practice within the firm, pursuing the types of cases that interest them most. We also have established paths for them to pursue partnership with the firm.
SWP: Tell us a fun fact or hidden gem about your company that people might not expect!
PM: Shaheen & Gordon attorneys secured what may be the largest monetary verdict in state history in a 2017 defamation lawsuit — $275 million was awarded to three NH businessmen.
SWP: As a YP yourself, what drew you to Shaheen & Gordon? What do you love about working at S&G?
PM: Being in marketing, I always assumed agency life was it for me. I liked the culture and the fast pace and assumed I’d never find the same feeling in a “corporate” position. But on the agency-side I always became really invested in my clients, and as I learned more about Shaheen & Gordon and their people, I realized it was a place I could see myself. I love it here because we’re all working toward the same mission – helping people, doing good work – but we’re not afraid to have fun while we do it. The culture is one that cares on every front. While I wouldn’t trade my agency experience for anything, it’s nice to be able to focus all my crazy energy on one business, and beyond that to have more of the decision-making power than you get as a vendor.
SWP: What is a hidden gem in NH that you tell new S&G team members who may be transplants to NH?
PM: I’m a Massachusetts transplant myself, due to work and cost of living. Unfortunately, while I appreciate the outdoors, I’m not much of a hiker or a skier so a lot of New Hampshire’s natural highlights are lost on me. But I am a bit of a foodie, so I collect restaurant recommendations. Two of my favorite hidden gems are Cask & Vine in Derry – great food, people, and drinks (I’m biased because my husband is a bar manager here, but he started after we became regulars!) – and Cava in Portsmouth – Spanish tapas and in my opinion the best food in New Hampshire and maybe New England.
